Question 1: Why are College tuitions rising?
Answer: There are many factors, including less funding for colleges, general inflation and better education.

Question 2: How can students combat the extra costs?
Answer: Students can get grants, loans, scholarships and get a job or two.

Question 3: who decides what the prices are?
Answer: I don't know.

Question 1: Why are College tuitions rising?
Answer: Grants can be both good and bad. Since grants and wages are increasing, some colleges raise their tuition because they know students can pay for it.

Question 2: How can students combat the extra costs?
There isn't much we can do except apply for as many grants and scholarships as possible and living at home. There is also something called the American opportunity credit to reduce taxes of undergrads.

Answer: The Colleges.
